Frequently Asked Questions

Information about our delivery service.

We ask 7 days in advance to place a delivery order. Once you place the order, we require full payment. Please be advised. No refunds if you cancel your order five days up to your event. If you place your order before five days and need to cancel, you will receive a full refund. 


A team member of Flame & Flavor will personally deliver your catering order directly to your event location. 


Delivery fees will be calculated based on the location and any specific setup requirements, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for your event. 


No cooking on site. 


Hot food will be delivered in aluminum heating trays that fit in chafing stands. 

On-Site Catering Services

Choose Your Flame & Flavor Experience

Let us bring the heat to your doorstep! Our Flame & Flavor Catering service includes:


Option 1: On-Site Catering.

Flame & Flavor Catering: We bring our NSF health department-approved grill and chefs to the customer's location and provide on-site catering services/ Buffet/Events.


For on-premises catering, we provide comprehensive services for a 4-hour period. The exact timing may adjust based on the number of guests. To accommodate our operations, we require a designated 10x10 space.  We'll provide all necessary equipment, including tables, grills, and utensils that we need. You need to choose what kind of catering you'd like: Buffet, Concession style (we'll pop up a tent to serve from), or Family style.


Catering Styles

1. Buffet

- Guests serve themselves from a variety of dishes from hot chaffing dishes

- Food is laid out in a public area

- Guests can choose what and how much they want to eat


2. Concession

- Food is served from a designated area (Flame & Flavor Tent)

- Guests order and pick up their food

- Often has a more casual, event-style vibe


3. Family Style

- Food is served in large, shared dishes

- Guests gather around the table and serve themselves

- Encourages socializing and a sense of community


If the event takes place in the evening, we kindly request access to a dedicated electrical outlet to facilitate our lighting setup, and fan which we will provide.


Please Note, if our stay is required longer then 4 hours, as agreed upon, we charge an extra $150 per hour. 


Option 2: Food Delivery

Get the same great tasting Kebabs, delivered right to you! Our Flame & Flavor Delivery service without on-site grilling. 

What is the minimum guest for on-site catering?

On-Site Catering is available for a minimum of 30 guests.

If you have a smaller party, please contact us. We will try to accommodate you. 


How far ahead do I need to book the event for on-site catering?

The sooner, the better! We recommend booking your catering as soon as possible to ensure availability and personalized service. However, we understand that unexpected events can arise, and we're committed to accommodating last-minute requests to the best of our ability.

Do you require a deposit for on-site catering?

A non-refundable deposit of $104 is required to secure your catering event date. This guarantees that our culinary team will be dedicated to serving your event exclusively. Please note that this deposit will not be refunded if the event is cancelled or rescheduled 


To secure your booking, we require a 50% deposit at least two months prior to your event. For bookings made on shorter notice, we'll work with you to find a mutually convenient arrangement.


The remaining balance and confirmed minimum guest count are due 10 days before the event. You may increase your guest count up to 72 hours before the event.


We appreciate your prompt payment to ensure a seamless experience for your event.

Cancellation Policy for on-site catering.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we've established the following cancellation policy to ensure a fair and transparent process:


  • 30 days or more prior to the event date you will get a full refund minus the non-refundable $104 date deposit.
  • 8-29 days prior to the event date: A 50% refund of the minimum balance before the 10 days or full contracted total after 10 days, will be issued minus the non-refundable $104 date deposit.
  • 7 days or less prior to the event date: The contracted total is non-refundable 


Please note that we strive to be flexible and reasonable in our cancellation policy. However, we cannot make exceptions without incurring significant costs of loss of products and material, which is why we kindly request your understanding in this matter.

Why we charge a service fee for on-site Catering.

Our service fee is designed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for your grilling kebab catering needs. 

Up to 100 guests: $364

- Each additional 100 guests: $208

- On-site grilling and cooking services

- Setup, serving, cleanup

- Equipment (grills, tables, tents, etc.)

- Charcoal and starter for grilling, we use top quality Brazilian charcoal.

- Travel and transportation costs (fuel, parking, etc.)

- Basic decorations (e.g., tablecloths, utensils) for our set up food station

- Buffet table decorated with lighted olive leaves garland battery operated with fairy lights or flameless   candles unless otherwise specified.

- Chafer fuel cans

- Coordination and planning services


 PLEASE NOTE: An automatic gratuity of 15% will be calculated during the final total.

Children's Pricing for catering.

We're happy to accommodate children at our events! Please note the following discounts:

  • Children under 3 years old are complimentary

What about on-site catering safety?

Safety is our top priority. Despite working with open flames, we take precautions to ensure a secure environment for our staff, clients, pets, and guests. 


At every event, you'll find:

- Fire extinguisher and fire blanket 

- Protective mat to safeguard your flooring 

- Galvanized iron steel ash bucket for safe ash disposal

- First aid kit on hand

- Trained team members who never leave the grill unattended


  • For everyone's safety, we kindly request that children and family pets be kept away from our grilling station. This will help us ensure an enjoyable and hazard-free experience for all.


We maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness provides peace of mind. 

Everyone at Flame and Flavor has a ServSafe San Diego Food Handling Card. 

Enjoy your Flame and Flavor experience, knowing that safety in every way is our number one priority.

Set up and clean up for on-site catering.

Our setup and cleanup times adapt to the unique demands of each event, considering factors like complexity, menu, and additional services.


Average Timeline:


- Setup: 1 hour

- Cleanup: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Please note that buffet setup and breakdown are included in our service fee.


Customized Timing


We work closely with you to tailor our timing to your event's specific needs, adjusting for the number of guests to ensure a seamless experience.


Cleanup Process


As the third hour approaches and guests have finished eating, our team efficiently begins the cleanup process. We carefully transfer remaining food into aluminum pans, leaving them on the table for continued enjoyment or the host's convenience.


Thorough Departure


Upon our departure, we ensure a thorough cleanup, taking all trash and disposable items with us, and never using your trash cans. Our goal is to leave the event space as we found it, minus the delicious memories we've helped create!

Drinks

We do not offer alcoholic drinks at this time.

Can you arrange rentals?

No, not at this time 

Do you offer gluten-free or vegetarian options?

Absolutely! We're happy to accommodate various dietary needs and preferences, including gluten-free (GF), dairy-free, nut-free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto and Paleo. Please let us know your requirements in advance, and we'll work with you to create a customized menu that ensures all your guests have a delightful and safe culinary experience. We're continually expanding our menu options to cater to diverse dietary needs, because we believe everyone deserves to enjoy great food and a wonderful event!


Please note:

Our Gluten-Free (GF) dishes are prepared in kitchen where gluten-containing ingredients are also present. While we take every precaution to minimize cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee complete gluten exclusion. Please consult with our manager for more information and to discuss your specific needs.

Buffet Line for on-site catering.

For the buffet line we ask you to provide the tables, tablecloth. 

Our Mediterranean rustic decor, featuring lush olive branches, vibrant lemons. Alternatively, feel free to add your personal touch by decorating the buffet table with your own unique theme or style, perfectly blending your vision with our culinary delights.

What we provide is chafing dishes, bowls, trays, stands, food and setup. 

Meat Preparation and Service

We take great pride in our signature Kebab meats, renowned for their tender and flavorful quality. Our authentic, custom-made charcoal grill is where we expertly grill our Beef, Chicken, and Ribs, etc. infusing them with a rich, smoky flavor. Additionally, our meats are carefully marinated to enhance their real natural ingredients. We ensure that all meats are served hot, presented in chafing stands, and replenished regularly to guarantee a consistent and satisfying experience for our guests.
